Regional Sales Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for direct, reseller and dealer sales for the Countryside Tank brand within the regional geographic area. Responsibile for all sales activities, including but not limited to, inbound phone calls, outbound phone calls, lead generation, new customer development, reseller and dealer training and development, and overall sales growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist resellers and dealers with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning, and new customer development
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge of the Countryside Tank products
  • Demonstrate ability to comprehend business and how to create additional sales
  • Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed
  • Develop new reseller and dealers within assigned geography
  • Become actively involved with resellers and dealers to ensure their sales teams are fully aware of our products and are trained properly
  • Assist resellers and dealers to close sales
  • Assist with planning sales exhibits
  • Attend trade shows
  • Keep informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers
  • Understand our competition
  • Check on competitive activity and develop new methods of attaining resellers and dealers in an effort to obtain sales growth
  • Troubleshoot problems that customers may have with our product
  • Answer customer, reseller and dealer questions and handle and communicate complaints
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
  • Perform other job related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Iowa Steel Fabrication Regional Sales Manager 2

  • High School Diploma; College degree preferred
  • 5 plus years of direct sales experience is required; inside or outside sales experience
  • Experience in the propane, oil field, and/or anhydrous ammonia fields a plus

  • Limited travel; “in person” meetings may be necessary to achieve a large customer and/or dealer commitment. Travel to 4-6 annual trade shows will also be necessary. Most customer communication can be achieved via phone, email, and other internet related means.

LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectivelybefore groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COGNITIVE DEMANDS
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of industry specific software, industry specific systems and other web-based software programs, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. Also must stoop, bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. Visually inspecting material and storage areas well (either naturally or with corrective lenses). Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the location.
