Countryside Tank Company is a leading manufacturer of propane and anhydrous ammonia transport trailers for the United States and Canadian market. We are searching for an engineer to join our energetic and ever-growing team at our shop in Osceola, Iowa.

AS AN ENGINEER, A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Oversee the design, drafting, and bills of materials (BOM)
  • Work closely with the Purchasing Specialist to optimize materials and parts utilized
  • Ensure products meet DOT and ASME requirements
  • Work closely with Sales on technical specifications and sales support
  • Assist in evaluating all structural related issues and designs
  • Minimize rework caused by engineering output data
  • Standardize designs, if applicable
  • Develop and implement engineering operating processes
  • Maintain the QA ASME program

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Training in design/drafting with AutoCAD and Solid Works
  • Minimum of four years engineering experience
  • Minimum of two years management or related leadership experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of and experience with ERP software, Encompix experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of ASME and DOT regulations and calculations pertinent to both
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to self-motivate and initiate all projects
